Pathri assembly constituency
Pathri assembly constituency is situated in Maharashtra's Parbhani district and is a component of the Parbhani Lok Sabha constituency. The constituency comprises five additional assembly segments: Jintur, Parbhani, and Gangakhed from Parbhani district, whilst Partur and Ghansawangi are from Jalna district. The constituency's geographical area includes the complete talukas of Pathri, Manwath, and Sonpeth, plus 42 villages from Parbhani taluka.
Independent candidate Mohan Fad represented the constituency in the Maharashtra State Assembly during 2014-2019. The 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections saw Congress candidate Suresh Warpudkar securing victory with 105,625 votes, whilst BJP's Mohan Fad received 90,851 votes.
The area features the Pathri Premier League (PPL), a yearly cricket competition that aims to develop local sporting talent. According to the 2011 census data, Pathri's population stands at 36,853, comprising 19,025 males and 17,828 females. The female sex ratio is 937, surpassing Maharashtra's state average of 929.
