Veteran actor
Ranjeet is known for being the OG villain of Bollywood. He's often done negative roles in Hindi movies and also got quite stereotyped in that zone. From fighting with the hero to molesting heroines, Ranjeet has done it all. But here's recalling the time when Ranjeet admitted that his on-screen character made his father throw him out of the house.
He had spoken about it on Kapil Sharma's show. Ranjeet had said, "When I did my first film, Sharmeelee, my father threw me out of the house. He was like ‘Baap ka naak kata diya’.” Ranjeet added, "He was mad at me because I molested Raakhee in the film. It showed me tearing her clothes and pulling her hair. He was like if you had to act, you could have taken up doctor, engineer, police’s role, what have you done? What are you doing molesting a girl?”
Meanwhile, in an interview recently, Ranjeet had also spoken about a molestation scene with
Madhuri Dixit and how she was crying. He said during a chat with Vickey Lalwani, "Prem Pratigya was the name of the film, Madhuri was new then. My image had been created as a ‘ruthless killer, crude villain’. Girls and boys would fear me. Madhuri had heard about me, and she was panicking. We had a molestation scene together. Veeru Devgn was our fight master. The scene was that I had to molest her on a handcart. I was in a rush for my other shoot and had no idea about her situation on set. I came to know about Madhuri later."
Thus Ranjeet went and consoled her and convinced her that he was a good man in real life and that's when she agreed to do the scene. The actor added, "I realised she was crying. Then they consoled her, told her, ‘I was a good man’. Ultimately, she agreed to give the shot. Now, when we were giving the shot, I used to be very cooperative with my fellow artists. After the scene was cut, people clapped. She was sobbing, the producer and others rushed to her and asked her, ‘Are you okay?’ She said, ‘I never realised anything. He never even touched me.’”
