Mohanlal's highly anticipated film 'L2: Empuraan', the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'Lucifer', is set for its OTT streaming premiere after a successful run in theatres.

The movie directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran will be streaming on the OTT giant JioHotstar from April 24th. The OTT platform shared the news in an official social media post.
The movie written by Murali Gopy marks Mohanlal's return as Khureshi-Ab’raam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally, with Prithviraj reprising his role as Zayed Masood in a significantly expanded part.

Mohanlal also shared a similar post on his social media handle. The movie was released in theatres on March 27, 2025, and quickly became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films, earning over Rs 105 crore in India within 21 days and Rs 265.5 crore worldwide, according to trade reports by Sacnilk.
