Khadakwasala Assembly constituency is located in Pune district and falls under the Baramati parliamentary seat.
Voting in all 288 Assembly constituencies in Maharashtra is scheduled for November 20, with results to be declared on November 23.
In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP candidate Bhimrao Tapkir won over the NCP candidate, securing 94,622 votes. The NCP candidate followed closely with 81,736 votes.
During the 2014 Assembly elections, BJP’s Tapkir also won with 89,560 votes, or around 48.7%, over the NCP candidate, who received 69,834 votes (38%).
According to the 2011 Census, Khadakwasala has a significant rural population, with SC voters making up around 12.8% and ST voters accounting for 6.2% of the total voter base.
