Gangadhar Harish, an agent wanted for a medical seat scam in Kazakhstan, was arrested. Srikakulam police apprehended him at Delhi airport. He allegedly collected Rs 2 crore from students in Srikakulam. Victims reported being defrauded with promises of low-cost medical seats. Harish only paid the first year fees. Students were removed from Astana Medical University. A police investigation is underway.
A seven-year-old boy tragically drowned in the Vishwanadh Sports Club's swimming pool in Vizag due to alleged negligence by the management. Rishi Sai Kumar, a class-II student, was found unconscious in the wave pool after venturing from the kid's section. The incident has sparked outrage, prompting calls for investigation into safety lapses and accountability for the sports club's management.
