A bridge on National Highway 305 connecting Mandi to Kullu collapsed early Saturday morning in Banjar, Kullu district, disrupting vehicular traffic. A truck fell into the river as the bridge, built around 1980, gave way, resulting in minor injuries to the driver. Authorities have initiated restoration work, deploying machinery and creating a temporary pathway.

The Himachal Pradesh forest department's wildlife wing captured the first photographic evidence of the elusive Woolly Flying Squirrel in the Miyar Valley. This documentation, part of the Snow Leopard Population Assessment in India initiative, also recorded images of other wildlife including snow leopards and red foxes.
