Jaipur: Student attendance in all Rajasthan govt schools will now be recorded digitally via the Shikshak App, as announced by chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma during the Mukhyamantri Shikshit Rajasthan Abhiyan.
According to a fresh directive from the education department, teachers are required to mark only absent students to simplify the process. Attendance must be taken during the morning assembly to avoid mobile phone use in classrooms.
Heads of institutions have been instructed to ensure that all teachers download the app and that class teacher mapping is completed in advance for smooth implementation.
The move follows a successful pilot in 132 Swami Vivekananda Model Schools and 205 Mahatma Gandhi (English Medium) Senior Secondary Schools and is now being extended to all govt schools across the state.
