INDORE: Three Jain monks were attacked by six men inside a Hanuman temple in MP's Neemuch on Sunday night.
The monks, on a barefoot religious journey, were sheltering in the temple when the assailants, drunk and armed, demanded money. On refusal, they thrashed the monks. One of them escaped and alerted villagers, who rescued the monks and caught two attackers. Police later arrested five from Rajasthan and detained a minor. Markets in Singoli were shut down in protest.
