The palace is noted for its rich architecture and was constructed during the reign of Maharaja Umaid Singh in the 1920s. It is renowned for its Indo-Saracenic architecture, intertwined with the elements of Mughal architecture and Western styles. It took nearly 15 years to complete the construction of this royal architecture. The royal clan still lives inside while one portion of the palace is transformed into a luxury hotel.
