Former actress and author Twinkle Khanna, daughter of legendary stars Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna, once spoke about her playful bond with her sister, Rinke Khanna. She shared how she had once fooled her husband during their first meeting with a cheeky statement about Rinke's father.
In January 2024, Twinkle took to Instagram to celebrate the unique bond she shares with her sister, Rinke Khanna. She posted some black-and-white pictures with their legendary father, Rajesh Khanna, along with a few shots from a vacation together.
“My sister and I are a year apart. I was always the giant, and she was petite. At times, we resembled Tom and Jerry, and sometimes, depending on my weight, Laurel and Hardy. Of course, we teased each other mercilessly,�?she began, describing the bond they share.

“As her husband likes to recount, when he first came to meet my sister, I informed him, ‘You need to know we have different fathers. My father is Vinod Khanna, and hers is Rajesh Khanna. That’s why I am tall and she is not.�?My sister was livid, though I thought it was quite funny,�?she added.

Twinkle further explained how they stand by each other during tough times, despite all the playful pranks. “But whenever I am in trouble, she is the first one by my side. She calls me every day, even if it’s just to chat about mundane events. I can’t say that if life is a desert, she is my only oasis, but I know that under the scorching sun, she will definitely share that wide-brimmed hat with me �?even if it’s just to throw some shade my way :)

Rinke was last seen on the big screen over 2 decades ago in the 2005 film 'Ek Din Anjaane Mein', where she co-starred with Mammootty. Prior to that she was also seen in the Kareena Kapoor starrer 'Chameli'.
Rinke Khanna tied the knot with businessman Samir Saran in 2003, while her sister Twinkle Khanna married actor Akshay Kumar in 2001. The couple has two children, son Aarav and daughter Nitara. On the work front, Akshay Kumar was last seen in Sky Force, which garnered positive feedback from audiences and performed reasonably well at the box office.
