Metal replica of Constitution’s Preamble weighing 1,500 kg unveiled in Dharwad
Dharwad: A massive metal replica of Constitution of India's preamble was unveiled at Kittur Channamma Park in Dharwad on the occasion of 134th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar on Monday. It is said to be state's first-ever massive metal replica of the Preamble and designed in the form of a Constitution book. Labour minister Santosh Lad unveiled it.
Fabricated using high-grade materials, it ensures both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. Designed in the form of an open book, the sculpture features an outer cladding of 2 mm SS 304 stainless steel with a buffed matte finish, giving it a refined and elegant appearance. The front pages of the sculpture highlight the Preamble to the Constitution of India, etched in both English and Kannada. This text is engraved using nitrogen laser cutting on a 1 mm PVD gold-coated stainless steel sheet, ensuring clarity and long-term durability.
Standing approximately 10 feet tall and 12 feet wide, with an estimated total weight of 1,500 kg, the sculpture maintains proportional aesthetics.
