MS Dhoni: "It's good to win a game. When you play a tournament like this, it's good to win. Unfortunately, things have not gone our way. There can be lot of things but this win will give us a lot of confidence. It was a tough game but glad to get over the line on the winning side.

I think in the powerplay we were slightly struggling to get going in our bowling. We did well in the middle overs and ended the innings on a strong note in the death. There have been instances where the opposition got off to a good start but we came back strong and were able to restrict them to a total around the par score. We were not getting the kind of start which we wanted as a batting unit and the fall of wickets were concerning. One of the reasons could be the Chennai wickets which is slightly on the slower side. The batting unit have done well away from home. It's very important to express as a batting group.

Well, so far yes the bowling unit is doing better than the batting unit. We have made some changes. We need bowlers who do well in the powerplay. We were putting a lot of pressure on Ash as he was bowling 2 overs in the powerplay. We made a few changes were we wanted more bowlers who could bowl in the powerplay. I think this attack is a much better one. As a bowling unit we have done well but as a batting unit, I think we could've done better.

"This means a lot. Losing 5 in a row, that's not CSK. I have played for 3 years for CSK. Our bowlers did well. I thought I will bat through tonight and finish the game.

Yeah, definitely. That was the thought. Jadeja and Vijay got out. I decided to take the game deep. That was the plan from my side.

[On batting with Dhoni] I think, when he came and started smashing the bowlers, it became easier for me. I decided I will go for it only if the ball is in my area. If it is not there, I won't try extra hard. Their bowlers executed their plans well.

Rishabh Pant : "We feel we were 10-15 runs short. We kept on losing wickets. Whenever the momentum was with us we lost a wicket and didn't build a big partnership.

The wicket was nice to bat on. A bit difficult. Definitely we could have got 10 more runs for sure.

(On his batting) Feeling much better with each and every game. Sometimes even if you are batting well it doesn't come off. Just getting into the rhythm taking one game at a time.

(On Bishnoi not completing his quota) There was plenty of time to think about it. We thought of taking it deeper but it didn't happen for us today.

Chennai Super Kings has ended their five-match losing streak with a five-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants.

Shivam Dube (43*) and MS Dhoni (26*) put on an unbeaten 57-run stand for the sixth wicket to take their team home.

Ravindra Jadeja: "No, I think the wicket played really well. There is some help for the bowlers and there is dew as well. I was just looking to bowl in good areas. I was trying not to bowling in the arc of the batters. I was thinking what the batters are going to do so I kept changing my line and length.

(Jadeja on Rishabh Pant) I knew that he will try to hit me over square leg and over mid wicket so I was trying to mix it up with my line and length. At some stage, he will try to play reverse sweep as well so I had that in my mind.

(On wicket) Nothing as I said. The wicket is very good. You need to be disciplined here. The outfield is really quick. LSG had good batters in their line-up. I was trying to keep things simple.

(On Batting higher) Yeah, I think so. I might bat higher up the order today. If we play normal cricketing shots, then we will be alright."
