Two injured in crude bomb attack in Prayagraj
Prayagraj: Two persons sustained injuries after 2 unidentified bike-borne miscreants hurled crude bombs on their car near the Nari Bari area under the limits of Shankargarh police station in the trans-Yamuna pocket of the district on Sunday night.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. Police claimed that two teams were formed to ensure the arrest of the miscreants involved in the incident.
Police said that the attack on the car carrying four people occurred when they were going to Prayagraj to attend a marriage function.
The bomb-hurling incident left two persons, including Ved and Ravi, injured, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The miscreants managed to escape towards the Chakghat area. ACP (Bara) Kunj Lata told reporters that the incident took place at around 9:30 pm on Sunday night.
He added, "An FIR under appropriate sections has been registered, and teams are looking for the culprits."
