Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday reviewed the status of applications submitted so far in Prajavani – held twice a week at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan – since its launch in Dec 2023. The CM instructed officials to create an online portal to provide details on applications etc., in a transparent manner to people.
The CM also enquired about procedures followed by officials to address people's grievances and pending applications. The officials briefed him that special desks have been set up in Prajavani for various departments, and a special Pravasi Prajavani was set up to resolve the issues of Gulf migrants. Officials said that urgent applications were being resolved on the spot. Ambulance was also made available during the programme.
So far, 117 Prajavani programmes were held where 54,619 petitions were registered. Of these, 68.4 percent (37,384) petitions were addressed, officials said.
The CM said that the Prajavani programme being conducted in district centres should be linked with Prajavani dashboard held in Praja Bhavan. He emphasised that issues at mandal, division, and district levels should be resolved on the spot.
He also instructed officials to provide him with live access to Prajavani dashboard to monitor the programme. He said this will help in directing officials on steps to resolve petitions quickly, he said.
