Delhi man found dead inside parked car in U’khand
Dehradun: A 47-year-old man from Delhi was found dead under "unknown circumstances" in his car on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district on Tuesday. Police said Anoop Singh, who used to work as a cab driver in Delhi-NCR, had left home alone on April 11 for a trip to Kausani in Bageshwar district.
Locals grew suspicious after they saw the car parked by the roadside for three days and after checking, they found him dead inside, Rudraprayag circle officer (CO) Vikas Pundir said.
CO Pundir added: "Preliminary probe revealed no injury marks on the body. Also, there was no unusual activity to suggest that it could be a case of robbery and murder. Based on the car documents, his family was contacted in Delhi. They told police that he left alone in his car for a trip to Kausani on April 11. The body was sent for postmortem to find out the exact cause of death. Further probe is on."
Singh was staying with family at Pooth Khurd in North West Delhi. A few months ago, he had purchased the pre-owned Delhi registered vehicle in which he was found dead, the CO said. He is survived by wife and two children.
