Long before the glitz and glamour, Taylor Swift attended Hendersonville High School before moving to Pennsylvania in 2004 to pursue her music career more seriously. In a new interview with WJHL-TV, several of her teachers fondly recalled their experiences with the young singer-songwriter.

“She was very nice and very sweet and not a diva at all,” said Lile Rogers, one of Swift’s former instructors. Rogers remembered a particularly telling moment during a school performance when the sound system failed mid-show. Swift didn’t panic—she embraced the moment.
“She went and sat at the edge of the stage and picked her guitar and started playing and singing and wasn't bothered at all,” Rogers said. “After the show I ran up to her and said, ‘I'm so sorry.’ She went, ‘Ms. Rogers, it's no big deal!’ That’s how professional she was, even at that age.”

The recollection offers a glimpse into the early signs of Swift’s now-famous poise and stage presence. As fans already know, those traits helped propel her to stardom, leading to a trailblazing career that includes multiple record-breaking tours, chart-topping albums, and a growing legacy as a self-made billionaire.

However, Swift is reportedly taking 2025 to focus on her personal life and relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce before deciding what comes next.
