NEW DELHI: The Kolkata traffic police have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory in view of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) scheduled for Monday, April 21, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The match is scheduled at 7.30pm, and to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety, special traffic arrangements, diversions, and parking restrictions will be in place from 4pm to 1am (next day).
Key traffic restrictions & diversions:
Movement of all types of goods vehicles will be restricted, suspended, or diverted in and around Eden Gardens and the Maidan area during the advisory period.

Road closures:
In addition, Kshudiram Bose Road (Auckland Road), North Brooke Avenue, and Gostha Pal Sarani (Kingsway) will remain closed to all vehicles.

Similarly, vehicles from North and East Kolkata will be diverted via routes such as Central Avenue, Ganesh Chandra Avenue, Mangoe Lane, S.N. Banerjee Road, R.R. Avenue, and Esplanade Row East, based on traffic conditions.
Motorists from South Kolkata can use AJC Bose Road, St. Georges Gate Road, and Strand Road to reach the BBD Bag area via Kiran Sankar Roy Road. Vehicles from North and East Kolkata may access BBD Bag through B.B. Ganguly Street, S.N. Banerjee Road, and other designated roads.
Howrah-bound buses and minibuses coming from South and South-West Kolkata through various routes such as D.H. Road, Khidderpore Bridge, Belvedere Road, or J.L. Nehru Road will be rerouted through St. Georges Gate Road, AJC Bose Road Ramp, Dufferin Road, and Strand Road, as necessary.
