Alex Soros, son of George Soros, shared a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), wishing Happy Easter. Tesla CEO and owner of X responded to the post, saying “Um … you too”. This brief exchange garnered attention due to the history of public disagreements between Musk and the Soros family. In the past, Musk has criticized George Soros, accusing him of undermining democratic societies.

The "Um … you too" reply has been interpreted by some as a subtle acknowledgment of their differences, while others view it as a lighthearted gesture during a holiday. Replying to a post, one user wrote “Why did this give me the chills?”. “Elon is so funny,” said another. “Alex Has Done His Part to blend in, now back to dismantling Christian nations,” chimed in a third. A fourth user wrote “Alex has hope”. “The "Art of War," said another user.

Elon Musk and George Soros have had a contentious relationship marked by public disagreements and ideological clashes. In March this year, Musk alleged that the protests against Tesla are funded by billionaire donors like George Soros and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.
Earlier this year in January, Musk compared Soros to Darth Sidious, the cunning Sith Lord from Star Wars. Commenting on a photo of the then President Joe Biden presenting George Soros with the presidential medal of freedom, Musk wrote on X “George Soros looking quite good here. Must be the lighting.”

This month, Musk was heckled at a rally in Wisconsin. Responding to the disruption, Elon Musk Smiled and said, "It was inevitable that at least a few Soros operatives would be in the audience. Say hi to George Soros for me!” And then followed it up with the chats of "USA, USA".
