UPSC Result 2025 declared: Shakti Dubey secures Rank 1, 1009 candidates recommended; download result PDF here

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination, 2024. Shakti Dubey has topped the list of 1009 recommended candidates. The result includes appointments to the IAS, IFS, IPS, and Central Services (Group A and B). A reserve list of 230 candidates has also been maintained. The result, released in April 2025, includes category-wise and disability-wise details, with full marks expected to be available on the UPSC website soon.

UPSC Topper 2025 Rank List: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the final result of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024, marking the completion of a long and challenging selection process. The CSE, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious and competitive exams in India, began with the written examination in September 2024. After this stage, the selected candidates underwent an intensive interview process that took place between January and April 2025.
The UPSC has now published the final list of candidates recommended for various civil services roles. This includes 1,009 candidates who have been selected for prestigious positions such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and various Central Services categorized under Group 'A' and Group 'B'.
Shakti Dubey has secured the top rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, followed by Harshita Goyal at Rank 2 and Dongre Archit Parag at Rank 3. A consolidated reserve list of 230 candidates has also been maintained, in accordance with Rule 20(4) and (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2024.
Top candidates across services announced
Among the 1009 candidates selected, 335 belong to the General category, 109 to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 318 to Other Backward Classes (OBC), 160 to Scheduled Castes (SC), and 87 to Scheduled Tribes (ST). This includes 45 candidates with benchmark disabilities across four categories.

The UPSC has clarified that the candidature of 241 recommended candidates is provisional, while the result of one candidate has been withheld. The number of vacancies reported by the government to be filled across services is 1129, which includes 50 vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Appointments to the services will be made based on the availability of vacancies and in accordance with the relevant service rules. The UPSC has also made provisions for candidates to receive information via its Facilitation Counter and official website.

Support for candidates available through UPSC
The UPSC has set up a Facilitation Counter near its examination hall for candidates seeking clarifications, operational on working days from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The marks of all candidates will be made available on the official UPSC website within 15 days from the result declaration.
