Pune: US-based technology company OpenGov expanded its staff strength to 140 in its Pune global capability centre (GCC). Earlier, it had 100 techies. The company provides digital cloud services to US state and local municipalities to improve their automation and efficiency. It offers digitisation services to local bodies, including Boston, Los Angeles, New York and Miami.
OpenGov caters to 2,000 govt bodies out of 20,000 govt entities in the US. The company invested heavily in AI to enhance govt operations to improve efficiency and digitisation. "We see India as a critical part of OpenGov's future. With its deep talent pool and thriving technology ecosystem, Pune has become an essential innovation hub for our product development, particularly in areas where we're leveraging AI," said Thiago Sa Freire, president and COO.
