Man shot dead over dispute involving son in Siwan
Patna: Armed miscreants shot dead a 48-year-old man over a dispute involving his son at Rampur village under Siswan police station area in Siwan district around midnight on Wednesday.The deceased was identified as Janardan Yadav.According to police, Janardan was inside his home when some people called his son, Vivek Yadav, to come outside but he was not there. As soon as Janardan came out, the two bike-borne criminals fired at him. The family members rushed Janardan to the hospital, where he was declared dead. The police cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation. The body was sent to Siwan sadar hospital for post-mortem."Janardan's son Vivek had a dispute with some local youths during a cricket match some days ago. On Wednesday night, Vivek had gone to attend a wedding event at Chandpur village. He met the same youths there and had some arguments with them. The youths allegedly fired at Vivek, but he narrowly escaped," said Rakesh Kumar Singh, SHO of Siswan police station.

The SHO said, "The miscreants have been identified as mentioned by the deceased's family. We are waiting for a formal complaint and the names of the accused by the family. Further action will be taken accordingly."
