Jennie recently made her debut as a solo artist on the stage of Coachella 2025. The idol presented a power-packed performance and set the stage afire with powerful vocals and choreography.
Jennie talks about Coachella and how she deals with ‘low stamina’
The idol recently got candid about her performance, its preparations and how hard it was for her to deal with everything. While attending a variety show titled 'You Quiz on the Block', the artist talked about her performance and how she had low stamina during one of the sets. She shared that to ensure the issue didn't arise on stage, she practised a lot for Coachella. She shared that “I couldn’t fully run through the entire set during rehearsals. Stamina has always felt like a wall to me, and I wanted to overcome that.”
She also shared with the host Yoo Jae Suk that she'd go running whenever she could while listening to the set list that would go on for around 50 minutes. She shared that “Whenever I had time, I’d play the full 50-minute setlist and run while singing."
Even though the idol prepared for the performance rigorously, she was not able to fully overcome the medical issue. The 'XtraL' singer also shared that when this didn't work, she would opt for getting medical intervention. She shared on the show that "If it didn’t work out, I’d get treatment and keep practising. It was a battle with myself.”
Watched her performance multiple times
Jennie shared that she watched her whole Coachella set again and again dedicatedly. The idol talked about how, due to overthinking, she avoids watching videos of her performances; however, she had to watch Coachella's whole set. While explaining why, she shared that "not because it was perfect, but because it was a performance I poured my heart into, so even though it’s a little embarrassing, I still watched it.”
