Jaipur: Three months after confusion over an error in a doctor's transfer order, the chief medical health officer (CMHO) of Sawai Madhopur said Monday that he received the order for a correction to be done in the transfer list.
"I received the letter of correction in the transfer list today (Monday), ending the confusion over the transfer of a doctor mentioned as a nurse in the transfer order," said the CMHO, Dr Anil Kumar Jaimani. TOI had carried a report headlined ‘Three months after doctor's transfer as a ‘nurse', error stays put' in its edition dated April 14, 2025, Wednesday.
The health department's non-gazetted section had issued a transfer list for nursing officers on Jan 15. The 12th name on the list was of a doctor who was directed to take charge as a nursing officer at Umaid Hospital in Jodhpur. The doctor, Ranjana Naraniya, is currently posted as a senior medical officer at Bonli Community Health Centre in Sawai Madhopur district.
The health department, however, said the letter of correction was issued last month. "The order for correction in the transfer list was issued on March 4," said Dr Ravi Prakash Sharma, director (public health).
