10 days on, search on for AIR staffer in Bomdila
Itanagar: Koorumba Moirangthem, an engineering assistant with All India Radio (AIR) in Bomdila, West Kameng, has been missing for over 10 days despite extensive search operations in and around the district headquarters. The search efforts, involving Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel, local police, family members, and volunteers, have yet to yield any leads.
Moirangthem, a native of Manipur, had been living in Bomdila with his wife since 2024. According to his family, he had been receiving treatment for depression and anxiety. On April 13, in what family members believe was an attempt to manage his stress, Moirangthem took his wife to Buddha Guest House in Bomdila's main market area. He left the guest house at 4:40pm to get dinner but never returned. His last known communication was a brief phone call to his brother-in-law on the morning of April 14 at around 9:06am. His mobile phone was last tracked in the Hawa Golai area.
Moirangthem was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, black sweater, beige trousers, and brown shoes, and is described as being of medium height and wheatish complexion.
Police continue to investigate all possibilities and have assured ongoing efforts to trace him.
