TCS, Wipro sent employees advisory emails on mock drills: We as individuals and organisations...

Ahead of the government's planned mock drills on May 7, TCS and Wipro, two of India's leading IT firms, issued advisories to their employees. TCS and Wipro, two of the country’s largest IT companies, had sent an advisory email to its employees ahead of the government's planned mock drills on May 7, reports Economic Times. In the advisories, the IT firms asked its staff to not panic and comply with the directives of their respective local administrations.

What TCS advisory on mock drill said

As per the report, TCS sent an email to its employees. The email, reviewed by the publication, said “In the context of the announcements made by the Ministry of Home Affairs, India, local administrations are planning to conduct mock drills at select cities to check the civic infrastructure capabilities like Sirens, Blackouts and others. We, as individual citizens, and as an organization, are required to comply with these requirements as and when they are laid down and communicated from time to time.”
The email further stated that the employees should refer to and align with any directives received from their respective local authorities. It also advised employees to refer to the guidelines issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). TCS also assured its staff that the company will provide relevant information that they can use.

What Wipro said in its mock drill advisory

Wipro also sent a similar advise to its employees ahead of the mock drill today. The fourth-largest software exporter asked its employees to follow the government’s directives and refrain from panicking. Quoting an unnamed source, the ET report further adds that the advisory cautioned employees not to rely on information from unverified sources.
