Operation Sindoor
In a significant military operation codenamed 'Operation Sindoor,' the Indian armed forces conducted precision missile strikes on nine terrorist targets across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) early Wednesday. The strikes targeted key terrorist installations, including Jaish-e-Mohammad's stronghold in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke.
The military action came two weeks after the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives. Prime Minister Modi had earlier granted the armed forces "complete operational freedom" to respond to the attack during a high-level meeting with top defense officials on April 29.

Singh emphasized the operation's accuracy and restraint in avoiding civilian casualties. He warned adversaries against exploiting India's patience, promising a strong response to provocations.
