Sri LankanSC judgevisits KVT

Varanasi: Sri Lanka Supreme Court judge, Justice Shri S. Thurairaja and his wife Shashikala Thurairaja visited Kashi Viswanath temple here on the second day of the three-day Rangbhari Ekadashi festival on Sunday.
Temple CEO Vishwa Bhushan and deputy collector Shambhu Sharan welcomed them to KVT. At the temple, they performed darshan and pujan.Thereafter, the guests went to the temple chowk to offer flowers, haldi, and abir-gulal to Chal Rajat Pratima of Kashi Vishwanath Mahadev and Mata Gaura.
Temple CEO said the ancestral roots of Justice S Thurairaja are connected to India. In the history of approximately 200 years of the Sri Lankan SC, he is the first person serving as a SC Judge, whose ancestors have an Indian connection. tnn
