Hazaribag: A 40-year-old West Bengal resident Diwakar Chakraborty died after his two-wheeler collided with a stationary truck near Pubai village on NH-2, approximately 75 km from Hazaribag district headquarters. He was travelling to Nepal. Chakraborty worked as a professor at Baranagar College in North 24 Pargana district, West Bengal, said local sources.
Officer in-charge of Chouparan police station A Pandey said, "The professor, who had departed from Kolkata the previous day, suffered fatal injuries after being thrown into the truck's chassis." Chouparan police identified the deceased through his documentation and contacted his family in Baranagar. The police confirmed that the professor died on spot, with his two-wheeler sustaining severe damage.
