India's largest poultry conclave kicks off in Raipur with 3,000 traders
RAIPUR: Over 3000 poultry traders from across the country have gathered at India’s largest poultry conclave being organized in Chhattisgarh capital as the event marked a significant push toward modernizing poultry practices and turning the state into the nation’s leading ‘Protein Hub’ by 2035.
The conclave is being hosted by the IB Group in Raipur. The group managing director Bahadur Ali laid out the company’s ambitious roadmap, aligning it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.
“We’re not just building a business—we’re building a healthier India,” Ali said, stressing the growing importance of chicken protein in the Indian diet. He highlighted the increasing demand for chicken protein in India, supported by both central and state governments.
“Just like in Europe and the USA, we are striving to make protein an everyday essential here in India,” he said.
One of the event’s central themes was rural development. Ali said that an initiative to open a chicken protein shop for every 1,500 people, creating employment and boosting local income was in discussion.
The conclave continued on its second day, with a special focus on poultry farmers. They gathered how modern poultry practices can help meet India’s nutritional goals and transform agriculture into a protein-driven rural economy.
