Union min criticises CM, highlights Centre’s achievements
Hassan: Union minister of state for railways V Somanna criticised chief minister Siddaramaiah, questioning what the CM has been doing to protect his position. Speaking to reporters, he said Congress leaders talk about guaranteed benefits, but now there are neither benefits nor funds for the projects.
Replying to the CM's accusation that tax money from the Centre is not reaching the state, he said, "Chief minister Siddaramaiah has no information. He is misleading the public."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's govt is working a hundred times more than the state. "If you go to the northeastern states, you will see development," he said. Somanna asked the Siddaramaiah to send his officials to the former's office to learn about administration, transparency, and providing facilities to the public.
"PM Modi is giving a message for the future of India. The whole world appreciates his diplomatic decision on how to handle bitter incident that happened now, he said. The state govt is not contributing its share to railway projects either. Yet, several works were initiated," the minister added.
The opposition parties have nothing else but to criticise. In the last ten years, Rs 8,000 crores of revenue were generated from tourism, he said.
Speaking of the Pahalgam incident, Somanna condemned the incident stating that after Article 370 was removed, the PM moved towards development for the future of India. "This heinous act by a few misguided people is condemned by the world. The Centre took several steps to teach them a lesson. Wait for a few days, and some tougher measures are awaited," he added.
