Pahalgam terror attack: Khader visits bereaved family

Shivamogga: Karnataka assembly speaker U T Khader visited the residence of Manjunath Rao on Friday evening and offered condolences to the bereaved family. He was accompanied by functionaries from Congress and BJP.
Sumati, Manjunath's mother, recounted how she cautioned her son against travelling to Kashmir. But he reassured her by comparing Kashmir's safety to Bengaluru, citing examples of locals who visited and returned safely. Khader left after consoling the family. He later told the media that the entire nation stands united with the family. He praised Rao's wife Pallavi's courage during the incident and emphasised that terrorists aim to destabilise the country. He called for nationwide unity — setting aside political differences — to fight those who perpetrate such acts and their supporters.
When questioned about the disparity in compensation, Khader said he would examine the matter.
