‘Ground Zero’ box office collections day 1 (Live): Emraan Hashmi’s film mints Rs 29 lakhs so far on its opening day

Emraan Hashmi’s latest thriller, ‘Ground Zero,’ had a lukewarm start at the box office, earning Rs 29 lakh on its first day, Friday, April 25, 2025. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the film has attracted limited attention on its opening day despite its intriguing storyline. The film’s overall Hindi occupancy was recorded at just 4.71%, indicating that the audience turnout was lower than expected.

According to the Sacnilk website, the film’s collections on Day 1 have been underwhelming, with a majority of its earnings coming from major cities like Mumbai, NCR, and Pune. However, the overall performance is modest compared to other releases of the same genre. In terms of regional distribution, Mumbai and NCR showed a slightly better response, with the rest of the country seeing lower engagement.

‘Ground Zero’ is based on the true story of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who led the operation that killed terrorist Rana Tahir Nadeem, also known as Ghazi Baba, in 2003. Emraan Hashmi plays the lead role of the officer, with Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain also in significant roles.
