Man injured in slab collapse in Ulhasnagar

Thane: A 60-year-old man escaped with minor injuries after the slab of the third floor of a building fell on to the second floor. The building was built in 1996. The fire department team was able to safely rescue the man. The injured person was admitted to the local hospital. Previously, in Ulhasnagar, parts of many slabs from different floors collapsed in a similar manner onto lower floors of several illegal buildings constructed between 1994 and 1996, resulting in the loss of many lives. After the incident, about 25 people residing in the building were safely evacuated by the fire department, and the building has now been sealed.
