9 undertrials felicitated for passing UP Board exams

Kanpur: Nine undertrials were felicitated by the Kanpur Nagar district jail authorities for passing the Class 10 and 12 UP Board examination.
Jail superintendent B D Pandey said that seven undertrials had appeared for Class 12 exam and two for Class 10. In high school, Shubham Verma and Manoj Kumar both secured first division and in the intermediate exams, Gaurav Vishwakarma passed with first division. Akash Sahu, Harsh Kushwaha, Dharmendra Pal and Ujaif Waris all cleared their exam with second division and Abdul Salam and Ravi Das passed with third division. All the inmates had prepared for the exam in the jail premises with the help of books from the jail library.
Pandey commented that the jail's pas percentage was 100%.tnn
