Four held in Sriganganagar for links with Rohit Godara gang
Jaipur: Sriganganagar police arrested four men Tuesday for allegedly linked to notorious criminal Rohit Godara gang. Police recovered three pistols and 39 live cartridges from the accused, one of whom reportedly travelled from Delhi to Sriganganagar to deliver the weapons. He was caught red-handed.
Police said the arrested men have several cases of robbery, extortion, and illegal arms trafficking registered against them. They are currently being questioned to uncover details about their organised crime network and the individuals they were planning to target for extortion.
"The accused were under surveillance following intelligence inputs, and the interrogation may reveal crucial information about the gang's links and possible targets," said a police officer.
The arrested men have been identified as Sikandar Khan, 39; Sumit Sidana alias Sonu, 36; Jaswinder Singh, 32; and Laxman Kumar Nayak alias JGB, 28, all residents of Sriganganagar.
One of the accused has more than a dozen criminal cases registered against him, including charges of murder, robbery, and supplying illegal arms.
