Employee dies at factory gate, cardiac arrest suspected
Indore: A 32-year-old man employed in a factory on Sanwer Road died of a suspected cardiac arrest in Banganga area on Monday. A video of the incident, in which the man was seen collapsing at the entrance gate of the industry, went viral on social media on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, police seized CCTV footage from the factory premises.
Additional DCP Ram Sanehi Mishra said, following the incident, a postmortem examination was conducted. A probe is being carried out into the incident since family of the employee, Kailash, alleged that the factory management was negligent, leading to his untimely death. While the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed, a cardiac arrest is suspected.
Police are waiting for final postmortem report to determine the cause conclusively. The CCTV footage captured the moment Kailash collapsed at the factory gate. Security personnel and other workers can be seen rushing to assist him.
Kailash lived in Indore with his wife and two children. He also has a brother who resides in Maruti Nagar area. The police have handed over the body to the family for last rites.
