Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday left for a seven-day tour of Japan to seek investments for Telangana.
The Revanth-led delegation comprising IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu and senior officials will visit Tokyo, Mount Fuji, Osaka, and Hiroshima from April 16 to 22.
As part of the visit, the CM will inaugurate the ‘Telangana Pavilion' at the Osaka World Expo 2025. Aiming to attract huge investments, the delegation will meet with leading company managements, industrialists and several representatives of Japan. In scheduled meetings with the prospective investors, the state team will explain the investment prospects in Telangana and also the industrial and technical cooperation offered by the state to Japanese companies to set up their manufacturing units.
The CM will arrive in Tokyo from Bengaluru on April 16 and will meet the Indian ambassador. On April 17 he has meetings in Tokyo with Sony Group, Japan International Cooperation Agency, JETRO, Japan Bio Industry Association and various organisations. Later, he will visit the Toshiba factory in the evening.
On April 18, Revanth will pay floral tributes to the Gandhi statue in Tokyo, after which he will meet the governor of Tokyo, industry representatives under the auspices of the Indian embassy and hold separate meetings with CEOs of Toyota, Toshiba, Aisin, NTT etc. He will also attend a Japan Overseas Infrastructure meeting with representatives of the Investment Corporation for Transport and Urban Development and visit the Sumida Riverfront.
On April 19, in Tokyo-Osaka, the CM will visit the Mount Fuji area and Arakurayama Park. On April 20, in Osaka, he will meet with the mayor of Kitakyushu, participate in a meeting regarding the Eco Town Project, and visit the Murasaki River Museum, Environment Museum and Eco Town Centre.
On April 21 in Osaka, he will inaugurate the ‘Telangana Pavilion' at the opening ceremony of the World Expo in Yumeshima. Then he will participate in the round table meeting followed by a visit to the Osaka riverfront.
On April 22, he will visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, pay floral tributes to the Gandhi statue, and hold meetings with the vice governor and chairman of the Assembly of Hiroshima, followed by the Hiroshima Japan-India Chapter Business Lunch and a visit to the Hiroshima Institute of Technology and Mazda Motors Factory.
The delegation will depart from Kansai International Airport in Osaka and reach Hyderabad on the morning of April 23.
