In a first, Himachal Day celebration to be held in Pangi Valley
Shimla: For the first time, state-level Himachal Day celebration will be held in the remote Pangi Valley of Chamba district. The event will take place on April 15 at Killar, the valley's headquarters.
A government statement said since coming to power, the Congress government led by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had shown a strong commitment to the welfare of tribal regions. The first Himachal Day celebration under his government was held in Kaza of Spiti valley, where the chief minister stayed and engaged deeply with local traditions and issues, the statement added.
Meanwhile, the CM's message to the people of the state on Himachal Day will be broadcast by All India Radio, Shimla, on April 14 at 8pm. FM Shimla, FM Hamirpur, FM Dharamshala, and all relay centres of AIR Shimla will simultaneously broadcast this message of the CM, said a government statement.
Doordarshan Kendra, Shimla, will telecast the CM message on April 14 at 7:30 pm.
