2 Pb cops get President’s police medal

Chandigarh: Punjab Police’s director bureau of investigation, ADGP B Chandra Sekhar, and IG (intelligence) Jatinder Singh Aulakh have been awarded the President’s police medal for distinguished service.
The Union home ministry on Sunday announced the names of Punjab Police officers to be awarded with the President’s police medal for distinguished service and police medal for meritorious service.
Six Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers — Amritsar AIG (zonal CID) Varinder Singh, Amritsar DCP (law and order) Parminder Singh Bhandal, Ludhiana DSP (IRB) Daljit Singh, Bahadurgarh DSP (commando battalion) Sanjeev Kumar, DSP (PRTC) Jahan Khelan Harjit Singh and Jalandhar DSP CID Harbhajan Lal — are among 14 to get police medal for meritorious service. tnn
