Ahmedabad: On Wednesday, the city's maximum temperature came down a notch to 41.9 degrees celsius, 2.3 degrees above normal. At 27 degrees celsius, the minimum temperature was 2.7 degrees above normal.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 42 degrees celsius on Thursday. "No large change in maximum temperatures during the next 48 hours; thereafter, a fall by 2-3 degrees is very likely over the region. Maximum temperatures are very likely to be in the range of 41-45 degrees celsius over parts of the Gujarat region," the forecast mentioned.
Meanwhile, a yellow alert continues for Banaskantha and Kutch on Thursday, according to the forecast.
At 45 degrees celsius, Kandla recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state, followed by 43.7 degrees celsius in Surendranagar, 43.3 degrees celsius in Rajkot, and 42.5 degrees celsius in Amreli. MSID:: 120351949 413 |
