KOPPAL: A video of goat meat being cleaned at the grave of Sri Krishnadevaraya, in Anegundi, has gone viral on social media.
The grave of the emperor who ruled Vijayanagara Empire between 1509 and 1529, involves 64 pillars but is not protected by the govt.
Some individuals clean goat meat by tying it to one of the pillars of the grave.
Locals have condemned the incident and have demanded protection for the monument.
Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has termed it an insult to the great king Sri Krishnadevaraya.
