NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Friday hailed the government and armed forces for carrying out "Operation Sindoor," calling it a strong and decisive response against Pakistan-backed terrorists and their network."We congratulate the central government leadership and our armed forces for the decisive action taken under 'Operation Sindoor' against Pak-sponsored terrorists and their supporting ecosystem following the cowardly attack on unarmed tourists at Pahalgam," RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and the organisation's general secretary, Dattatreya Hosabale, said in a statement, posted on X.The RSS asserted that the actions under Operation Sindoor "would deliver justice to the aggrieved families and entire country in the brutal massacre of Hindu tourists has enhanced self-respect and morale the whole country."

Bhagwat expressed complete support for the military actions against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, describing them as essential for national security. "We totally agree that military action being taken against terrorists, their infrastructure and support systems in Pakistan is necessary and inevitable for the security of the country. In this hour of national crisis, the entire country stands with the government and armed forces in spirit and action," the organisation chief said.
The RSS leader also condemned the Pakistani army's attacks on religious sites and civilian areas along Indian borders, calling those "savage and inhuman", and offering condolences to the bereaved families."In this challenging time, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh appeals to all citizens to ensure full compliance of instructions being given by the government and administration," the statement read."Along with this, while discharging our sacred civic duty, we all have to be cautious and do not let any conspiracy of anti-national forces succeed in disrupting social unity and harmony," it added.Bhagwat further encouraged citizens to demonstrate their patriotism and support the Army and civic administration "wherever and however required and strengthen all efforts to maintain national unity and security."The situation between the two neighbouring nations intensified after India conducted missile strikes on Wednesday, targeting nine terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), including JeM facilities in Bahawalpur and LeT bases in Muridke, responding to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.
