Gorakhpur: Undeterred by heavy rain on Saturday morning, Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath continued his public outreach exercise during his visit to
Gorakhpur. There were doubts about the scheduled Janata Darshan because of heavy rain, but Yogi ensured the programme was held.
Braving the rain, around 300 people gathered to voice their concerns, which the Chief Minister heard patiently at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan auditorium. He issued clear directives to officials for timely, transparent and satisfactory resolution of all grievances, assuring citizens that injustice would not be tolerated.
Highlighting priority areas, Yogi instructed officials to expedite police and revenue-related matters and take strict action against land mafia. In cases involving serious illnesses, he asked for quick processing of treatment estimates to ensure funds from govt were made available swiftly.
In a heartwarming gesture, Yogi expressed concern for a partially disabled woman and her child, directing officials to resolve her issue and to serve her refreshments. He distributed chocolates to children present and encouraged them to focus on education. Earlier in the day, despite heavy rain, the chief minister offered prayers at Gorakhnath Temple and paid tribute to his spiritual mentor, Mahant Avaidyanath. He also reviewed temple arrangements, maintaining his routine undeterred by the weather. tnn
