GANDHINAGAR: Nine criminal cases registered against BJP MLA
Hardik Patel and others in connection with 2015 Patidar quota agitation would be withdrawn, Gujarat's minister of state for home Harsh Sanghavi said on Friday. Sanghavi said investigation into these cases had been completed and chargesheets had also been filed.
Hardik Patel, who was convener of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti and face of the agitation, claimed two of these offences included sedition cases filed against him and others in Ahmedabad and Surat. Patel, who is now MLA from Viramgam constituency, thanked PM Narendra Modi, Union minister Amit Shah and CM Bhupendra Patel for withdrawal of the cases in a post on X. TNN
