Civil services aspirants protest against JPSC’s delayed exam results and recruitment process
Ranchi: Civil services aspirants from across the state protested outside the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) office on Friday, demanding expedited examination processes and the publication of results for the 11th to 13th civil services (mains) examination.
Aspirants from Ranchi, Ramgarh, Giridih, Palamu, and Garhwa gathered under the banner of Jharkhand State Students Association (JSSA) banner and voiced their frustration against JPSC's inefficiency in conducting timely examinations. They also criticized the newly appointed chairman for failing to implement necessary reforms.
JSSA president Satyanarayan Shukla highlighted that the results for multiple positions, including child development project officer, food safety officer, and civil services examinations, have been pending for nine months. "Various recruitment processes for civil judges, assistant professors, and homeopathic assistant doctors are stalled at different stages," he said.
Shukla also pointed out that despite the JMM-government's cabinet decision to publish examination calendars for filling vacant positions by January 2025, neither JPSC nor other recruiting authorities have prepared such schedules, leaving aspirants uncertain about their future.
Vijay Kumar, an aspirant from Sahibganj, said, "The irregular examination process has severely impacted our lives and put us in a dilemma over our future."
