Young artists sketch a greener future at Earth Day contest
Nagpur: Two girls with roots in Nagpur — Anaya Jasoria and Sara Umahiya, students at the City of London School for Girls — organised and sponsored a drawing competition at Shri Shraddhanandpeth Anathalaya to mark Earth Day. Through the initiative, they aimed to inspire sustainability and environmental awareness among young minds.
The competition, themed ‘Our Power, Our Earth', was coordinated by environmentalists Gunjan Khandelwal and Dr Sunita Sharma. Children from the anathalaya showcased their creativity and concern for the planet through vibrant artworks, judged by Aishwarya Chimurkar and Rashmi Mishra. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, led by Rajani Kukde, Sadhana Srivastav, and the anathalaya's staff.
More than just an art contest, the event became a platform for young voices to express their hopes for a greener, more compassionate world.
