The arrested accused, Chirag Soni, allegedly attacked Chamanlal Karla with a knife in a fight over supply of plantain leaves. While Chamanlal died in hospital, his son Kartik, and wife Neetu were injured. Both sold banana leaves, said officials of Bazarepth police station, Kalyan.

The police said that the two got banana leaves from Jalgaon. They had recently ordered five bundles of leaves — four for Karla, one for Soni.
