Lucknow: One of the most awaited Lucknow SuperGiants and Gujarat Titans match may face some interruption due to weather conditions as another round of light to moderate rain or thundershowers is expected on Saturday.
According to the weatherman, the city is likely to witness pleasant weather conditions until Sunday, and thereafter, the temperatures may gradually rise.
Due to a sudden change in weather conditions since Wednesday, the minimum temperatures fell by around four degrees on Friday as compared to Thursday.
The city's minimum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.9 degrees Celsius.
"There is a possibility of thundershowers and light rains on Saturday and Sunday. This is due to a western disturbance hovering over Afghanistan and cyclonic circulations over Madhya Pradesh," said senior scientist at the state met department, Mohammad Danish.
He said that on Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33 and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (40-50 km/h) are very likely at isolated places.
On Friday light to moderate rain/thundershowers were recorded at a few places over eastern UP and at some places over western UP.
Hailstorm was also recorded at some places over western UP (Saharanpur) and dust storm was recorded at some places over eastern UP while thunderstorm/gusty winds were also recorded at some places over both the meteorological divisions of UP.
The maximum wind speed as per the data received was about 52 km/hr at Agra (IAF) in western UP and about 56 km/hr at Varanasi (Airport) in eastern UP.
Meanwhile, in the state, rain or thundershowers are very likely at a few places. Thunderstorms and hailstorms are very likely at isolated places over the state.
