SP is spreading poison of casteism in society: UP Deputy CM
Lucknow: Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday said that Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav is indulging in caste-based politics and the SP has been spreading the poison of casteism in society. He was responding to remarks by Akhilesh, who claimed that "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is anti-Brahmin" and alleged that the family of former minister Harishankar Tiwari was being harassed."Akhilesh has no right to speak on the Brahmin community which was subjected to atrocities under the SP govt," Pathak said."The beheading of Neeraj Mishra of Kannauj and bringing him to Lucknow was done under the SP govt. A Vajpayee family was publicly humiliated in Etawah. Brahmins were tortured and raped in an organised manner throughout the state," he said.SP was at the helm in the state whenever the Brahmin community was humiliated. "Samajwadi Party has been continuously targeting the Brahmin community and hurting their sentiments. People know that Brahmins faced maximum atrocities under the SP govt," he said.
