Mohanlalganj MLA, 4 others withdraw their nominations

Lucknow: Five candidates, including a sitting MLA, withdrew names from the nominations for Assembly elections in various constituencies in Lucknow on Monday.
Ambrish Singh Pushkar, who won from Mohanlalganj in 2017 on SP ticket, had filed his nomination this time as an independent candidate. However, he withdrew his nomination on Monday.
Two candidates – Monika Singh and Alok Singh - had filed nominations on AAP tickets from Lucknow East constituency.Monika Singh took back her name.
Others who withdrew from the race include Mohammad Faheem of Indian National League and two independent candidates, Rajendra Prasad from BKT and Anita Srivastava from Lucknow North.
